Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• All Additional Job Responsibilities of a Welder I & II
\n
• Support Welder I & II employees through mentoring and/or on-the-job (OJT) training
\n
• Perform final quality inspection on all welds, stress relieving and equipment.
\n
• Determine stress relieving requirements
\n
• Potentially assume role as Field Supervisor
\n
• Fundamental selling skills
\n

\n
• Education & Experience
  \n
  • HS Education or GED Equivalent a plus
  \n
  • 5 or more years industry experience as a welder
  \n
  \n
\n
• Skills & Abilities
  \n
  • Meets all Welder I & II qualifications and requirements.
  \n
  • Proficient in Welder I & II responsibilities
  \n
  • Successful completion of Welder Level III Written and Performance Test
  \n
  • Minimum of 5 years as a certified Welder
  \n
  • Experienced trainer of Level I & II Welders
  \n
  • Proficient in ASME Section IX and Section V Code
  \n
  \n
\n

\n
• Working knowledge and proficiency of welding metallurgy
\n
• Knowledge and understanding of filler metal selection
\n
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
\n
• Understanding of shop math and weld costs.
\n
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
\n
• Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required)
\n

  • Ability to manage people
  \n
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  \n
  • Demonstrated "can do" attitude and excellent customer service skills
  \n

• Supervision:

• • Works mostly autonomously with little supervision

• Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines

• Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening

• Lifting: up to 50 pounds
\n
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
\n
• Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
\n
• Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
\n
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
\n
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
\n
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
\n
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
\n
• Communicating with others to exchange information
\n
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
\n
• Operating machinery and/or power tools
\n
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment
\n
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
\n
• Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements
\n
• Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
\n
