Edenthorpe Search have been requested to identify a Portfolio Manager for a leading New York-based bank within their Private Equity business line. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role focuses on structuring, underwriting, and managing a portfolio of fund financing loans for private equity clients, emphasizing a consultative approach to client and internal stakeholder interactions. Key Responsibilities: Underwrite, structure, and manage fund financing loans, including capital call lines, management company lines, NAV facilities, and hybrid facilities, adhering to bank guidelines. Conduct due diligence and prepare opportunity memos for new client relationships. Analyze financial data to evaluate loan requests, recommend structures, and present to the Loan Approval Process. Co-manage client relationships, acting as a liaison with the Credit Department and internal teams. Monitor covenant compliance, accurately risk-rate loans, and develop solutions for problem credits. Ensure portfolio administration aligns with bank credit policies and regulatory guidelines. Support renewals, amendments, and waivers in collaboration with Relationship Managers and clients. Perform financial modeling and prepare loan write-ups to drive new business. Qualifications: ~ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA or CFA preferred. ~10+ years of banking experience with direct portfolio management in private equity or asset management. ~ Strong underwriting, financial modeling (Excel proficiency), and risk-rating skills. ~ Deep knowledge of fund finance loans and credit policies. ~ Exceptional analytical and client relationship skills.
