Birmingham, AL | Full-time | Land Surveying | 1 Position AvailableSain Associates is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Survey Technician to lead a field land surveying team. This position plays a key role in managing daily field operations, ensuring the accuracy and quality of survey data, and maintaining strong communication with project managers. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively, as this position functions primarily a one-man crew.Candidates will be responsible for:Conducting boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, Right-of-Way, and construction staking surveysOperating and maintaining Trimble GPS receivers, robotic total stations, and data collectorsComplying with company procedures and safety protocolsInterpreting plans, plats, maps, and deeds to perform accurate field surveysCompleting surveys in an accurate and timely mannerMaintaining detailed and organized field notesKeeping the survey vehicle clean and orderlyMust Haves5+ years of experience in Land Surveying, with at least two years of experience managing a crewProficiency in data collection software with GPS and Robotic Total StationsStrong understanding of survey principles and techniquesProblem solving and attention to detailGreat communication skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrainGeomatics degree (preferred but not required) or the ability to earn a degreeCandidates must be able to lift 60 lbs., move through rough terrain, and to pass a drug test to work in this safety sensitive jobCandidates must have a valid driver's licenseAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
