Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer who designs and manages Kubernetes environments on AWS, focusing on containerized application deployment and performance optimization. This engineer will work with infrastructure as code and CI/CD integration to ensure that DevOps processes run smoothly. This position plays a critical role in streamlining application management for DoD projects.

This position is on-site five days a week and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Job-Specific Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage Kubernetes environments on AWS for containerized applications.
• Manage infrastructure as code, security, and DevOps practices for AWS resources.
• Work on CI/CD integration and application lifecycle management.
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot networking issues, and ensure system security.

Job-Specific Minimum Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 6+ years of experience in AWS and DevOps engineering with a focus on Kubernetes. 
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration in relation to workloads on AWS systems, Amazon EKS & in supporting development & testing teams.
• 5+ years of experience with containerized platforms. 
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages, hands on CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• IAT Level II 
• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training and at least two of the following certifications. 3 years of proven relevant experience may be substituted for each certification. 
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or training
• AWS SysOps Administrator certification or training
• AWS DevOps Engineer certification or training

Job Specific Desired Skills: 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• AWS SysOps Administrator certification or training
• AWS DevOps Engineer certification or training

Pay Transparency

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
