We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract to permanent basis. This role is based in Kansas City, Missouri, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will excel in managing reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and overseeing month-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and verify proper documentation.

• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure accounts are aligned with transactions.

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded correctly.

• Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports.

• Execute month-end close procedures, including preparing necessary adjustments.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

• Work with QuickBooks to manage and review financial transactions.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

• Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet and bank reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in handling general ledger and journal entries.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and its functionalities.
• Expertise in month-end close procedures and related adjustments.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
