Aretum is looking for a proactive and dedicated Scrum Master to join our team on a contingent basis. In this role, you will be essential in guiding our Agile teams to improve their processes, enhance their productivity, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your expertise in the Scrum framework and your leadership skills will empower teams to achieve their highest performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize, conduct, and schedule all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Train and coach team members on agile processes, methods, and tasks to ensure consistent understanding and application of agile practices.
• Maintain and groom the backlogs for various projects, facilitating thorough and productive backlog grooming sessions.
• Manage agile artifacts within Azure DevOps, ensuring all project tracking and documentation are up-to-date and accurately reflect project status.
• Track progress towards project delivery goals and provide leadership with high-level summaries and updates on project progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certification.
• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within technology or engineering sectors.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across diverse teams.
• Proven experience managing Scrum ceremonies for enterprise engineering teams.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for planning and tracking in an agile workflow.
• Experience in training teams and individuals on agile methodologies and best practices.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This is a remote/work-from-home position. The employee is expected to maintain a professional and distraction-free home office environment with reliable internet access and the ability to participate in video and audio calls during standard working hours. Standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and webcam will be used regularly. 

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. 

• Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computer and telephone equipment. 

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving equipment). 

• Ability to participate in virtual meetings and communicate clearly via video/audio platforms. 

Travel Requirement

This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
