Ghirardelli has opportunities for Retail Hourly Associates . Responsibilities include merchandising, stocking, and providing excellent guest service while selling our premium chocolate line. Previous retail experience is desirable. Candidates must be high energy, reliable, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work all shifts including nights and weekends.

To maintain the brand image and business integrity by representing the company correctly. Tasks include cashiering, candy making, stocking merchandise, pre-packing, and fountain duties.

• Provide exceptional guest service.
• Manage all cash handling and credit card processing procedures per company policies.
• Assemble retail items following recipe guidelines.
• Maintain adequate stock of all retail products on the sales floor and in back stock.
• Ensure all products are properly priced and signed.
• Keep the sales floor and products clean, well-arranged, and well-displayed.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of products, pricing, and company history.
• Use product knowledge to assist guests and create upsell opportunities.
• Gift-wrap items as needed following company standards.
• Follow food safety guidelines and keep all areas clean and sanitary.
• Stock fountain and condiment supplies and keep them in good condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
• Clean windows and mirrors as needed or directed.
• Keep guest and employee washing facilities clean and in good working order.
• Set up, maintain, and break down the fountain area properly.
• Replenish toppings and fountain items, minimizing waste.
• Ensure all ice cream flavors are stocked and current.
• Stay knowledgeable about fountain products and preparation methods.
• Work as a topper or scooper as needed.
• Perform semi-table service to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Maintain candy making equipment and supplies in good order and know all recipes.
