Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking experienced Support Associates to support the Chicago Passport Agency. Ideal candidates should have excellent communication skills, experience working with customers in a front-facing role, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Due to government contract and clearance requirements, US Citizenship is mandatory. The candidate must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 45 lbs and may be required to stand for long hours, walking around the worksite for the entire shift.

Your future duties and responsibilities include:

1. Operate equipment for high-speed scanning, mailing, and metering of mail.
2. Prepare and mail envelopes with passports and supporting documents.
3. Box and archive files for storage.
4. Interface with passport applicants at Agency/Center counters:
5. Ensure appointments are scheduled at the Information Station;
6. Review passport applications, photographs, IDs, and supporting documents for completeness;
7. Verify documents meet passport requirements and inform customers of fees;
8. Print and review passport books for accuracy before distribution;
9. Process refund and reimbursement requests;
10. Generate credit card payments, distribute batches to Cashiers Office, verify transactions, and run reports;
11. Assist with Acceptance Agent training and maintain electronic records of passport facilities;
12. Contact applicants for missing documents;
13. Resolve undeliverable mail issues and document actions in SharePoint;
14. Generate correspondence to resolve application discrepancies, including RTS, rewrites, re-issues, and re-batches.

Required qualifications include:

• Following procedures for clerical tasks like coding, filing, mailing, and calculating charges;
• HS diploma or GED;
• At least three years of office experience;
• Two years of experience with Microsoft Office;
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately;
• Ability to work in one place and move around the office;
• Constant awareness of security protocols;
• US citizenship and ability to obtain an MRPT clearance.

Hourly Rate: $18.89/hour
