Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Network Controller to support the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. This is a full-time, on-site role within a 24/7 operational environment. Candidates must be flexible and available for rotating shifts based on mission needs and priorities. This position is vital to supporting multiple high-impact DoD missions and their associated networks. *This position requires an Active Secret Clearance* Responsibilities: Independently investigate and resolve network monitoring alerts using documentation and research.
Troubleshoot circuit issues using router commands, loopback tests, error/alarm analysis, and other diagnostic tools.
Monitor network performance using specialized tools and escalate issues when necessary.
Create and manage incident tickets using Remedy.
Provide real-time troubleshooting across a live, global network infrastructure.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies including Ethernet, MPLS, VPNs, and wireless networking.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent).
Active Secret Clearance with eligibility for upgrade to Top Secret.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $55,000 – $65,500, based on experience.
