This position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential healthcare services within an elementary school setting, supporting the well-being and safety of young students. The role involves collaborating with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to manage daily health needs and respond to emergencies promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Monitor and assess student health conditions and provide first aid when necessary
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel regarding health concerns
• Assist in health education and promotion activities within the school environment
• Respond swiftly to health emergencies and coordinate care with external medical professionals as needed

Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN or LVN license
• Experience working in pediatric or school nursing preferred
• Knowledge of common childhood illnesses and basic emergency care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

• Elementary school setting within Shawnee, Kansas
