Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is needed to provide essential healthcare support within an elementary school setting in Kansas City, KS. This contract position is available for the upcoming school year and offers an opportunity to deliver direct nursing care to young students, ensuring their health and safety throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer first aid, medication, and treatments as prescribed
• Conduct health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests
• Manage acute and chronic conditions and communicate with healthcare providers as needed
• Maintain accurate student health records in compliance with school policies
• Provide health education and promote wellness among students and staff
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and assist with developing emergency care plans
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administration to support student well-being

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN/LVN license in the state of Kansas
• Experience working in pediatric or school nursing preferred
