Job Description

Position Overview:


We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our behavioral health team. The LMHC will provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups dealing with a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and create individualized treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance abuse, and more
  • Facilitate individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions
  • Monitor client progress and revise treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed



Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Active LMHC license in the State of residence
  • Minimum of 2 years post-licensure clinical experience preferred
  • Strong therapeutic, diagnostic, and clinical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and telehealth platforms



Work Environment:

  • Office or virtual setting depending on service delivery
  • May require evening and weekend availability
  • Requires emotional resilience and ability to manage high-stress situations
  • Low physical demand but high cognitive and emotional involvement
  • Confidential and quiet environment needed for therapy sessions
