Position Overview

The Sales Manager, Venues is responsible for guiding customers through event experiences, identifying solutions that meet their goals, and ensuring a compelling event experience. Utilizes all available tools to maximize event and revenue capture from the assigned customer base. Cultivates and maintains relationships with key hotel personnel to enhance business relationships. Supports company initiatives, strategies, and core values. Reports to a Sr. Sales Manager, Sales Director, or Director, Event Technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach using Encores sales process.
• Prepare and present quotes and proposals timely via various channels.
• Collaborate with vendors and other departments to service events.
• Attend site visits and planning meetings to support customer experiences.
• Understand event cost structures and incorporate them into solutions respecting profitability guidelines.

Relationship Management

• Deliver world-class service by maintaining relationships with customers and venue personnel.
• Research customer history to personalize experiences.
• Attend customer meetings, understand goals, and respond to needs.
• Keep customer information accurate in CRM.
• Leverage contacts within the Encore network for additional opportunities.

Sales Accountability

• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
• Update CRM with all opportunities accurately.
• Support sales forecasting efforts.
• Adopt SOPs and stay informed on new products and technologies.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or 1+ years of experience with Encore or similar.
• Preferred: 1 year in technology sales or hospitality.
• Experience in audiovisual sales is a plus.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred.
• Proficient in technical skills and computers.
• Strong communication skills.

Physical & Work Environment

Includes sitting, standing, walking, and other physical activities; work in hotel/convention settings with varying noise levels; irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must meet physical demands with accommodations available if needed.

Salary Range

$49,103 - $60,151, based on experience and location. Additional benefits and incentives may apply.
