Job Summary
We are seeking a n Experienced Professional Dog Handler to join our team! As a care giver, you will spend your days tending to the animals under our care, including following guidelines for feeding, refilling water bowls, communicating with owners and offering companionship. You will also be responsible for ensuring the environment is clean and safe for all the animals as well as walking or socializing animals as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with and walking all types of dogs, can work on their feet for long periods of time, and can work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow guidelines for feeding and mediation administration, ensuring the proper dietary guidelines are followed
• Clean and maintain pet enclosures so that every dog under your care has a safe, healthy living environment
• Socialize and exercise dogs under your care as needed
• Interact with the dogs, providing a positive human experience
• Maintain proper records of all dogs and care given throughout your shift
• Will be required to acquire pet cpr certifications as well as dog handler care certifications provided by employer

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable and experienced in working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Must be comfortable working on your feet for long periods of time
• Familiarity with basic computer programs
• Must be familiar with Slack
• 2+ years of professional experience in dog daycare/boarding, vet tech, rescue or training. Rover/wag do not apply
• Evenings, weekends and holidays are mandatory
