We are currently looking to add a Corporate Trainer to join our team! The Corporate Training Coordinator is responsible for designing, organizing, and delivering training programs that align with company goals, enhance associate skills, and ensure operational excellence. This role involves defining training needs, conducting general training, verifying training effectiveness, and collaborating with department leaders and subject matter experts to develop position-specific and upskill-specific training programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Program Development and Coordination:
- Assess and define training needs across departments to address skill gaps and support operational goals.
- Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to design position-specific and machine-specific training programs tailored to operational requirements.
- Develop and update training materials, such as manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises, to reflect current industry standards and company processes.
- Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and resources to ensure efficient and effective program delivery.
General Training Delivery:
- Conduct general training sessions on topics such as workplace policies, safety protocols, communication, and foundational operational skills.
- Facilitate onboarding programs for new hires to ensure smooth integration into company processes and culture.
- Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to diverse associate groups, adapting methods to meet varying learning needs.
Safety Training:
- Provide training on workplace safety protocols, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe operational procedures to promote a culture of safety.
- Ensure all safety training aligns with industry standards and company policies.
Technical and Administrative Training:
- Train associates on reading technical documentation, using measurement tools, and adhering to quality control processes.
- Instruct on completing necessary paperwork and using the IQMS (ERP) system or similar software for managing workflows, inventory, and production data.
Training Effectiveness Verification:
- Evaluate training program effectiveness through assessments, associate feedback, and performance metrics.
- Monitor trainee progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust training methods to optimize learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of training completion and certifications to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Partner with department leaders to align training programs with operational needs and strategic objectives.
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of training content.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance training programs
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Proven experience in training, education, or a related role within a technical or operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably IQMS, or similar operational software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and instructional skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a corporate trainer, training coordinator, or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., Certified Technical Trainer, CPLP).
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., education, organizational development, or industrial training).
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum development, and training evaluation methodologies
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during training sessions or hands-on demonstrations.
- Capability to lift and maneuver materials up to [specify weight, e.g., 25 lbs] safely, if required.
- Comfort working in office, classroom, or operational environments.
- Full-time position, based in a training facility, office, or operational setting.
- May require occasional travel to other company locations or training sites.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and PPE requirements when in operational areas
