About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Research Administration to lead and oversee the comprehensive research activities within the institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire research lifecycle, from pre-award to post-award, ensuring that the research community receives professional and customer-oriented administrative support. This includes application submissions, contracting, research accounting, and compliance activities. The role also involves liaising with governmental entities, indirect cost modeling, rate proposal and negotiations, cost reporting, and providing mentorship to staff in the field of research administration. Applicants for the Associate Vice President, Research Administration position at the company should have a strong background in research administration, with a focus on the management of extramural research funds. The role requires expertise in all aspects of the research process, including cost accounting, compliance, and education and training. The ideal candidate will have experience in indirect cost modeling, rate proposal and negotiations, and be well-versed in uniform guidance reporting. A key aspect of the position is the ability to collaborate with various teams, such as the Research Regulation, Integrity, and Evaluation team, the Finance and Administration team, and the Division of Veterinary Resources.
